For this week's assignment, you were to choose a mix of either 1) Natural Botanical Textures, or 2) Hybrid Mix of Textures. Which did you choose?
Hybrid Mix of Textures
Please identify your design as a Texture BRIDGE or EXTRACTION
EXTRACTION
Please provide a list of words for each of the Textures and corresponding materials used in your design.
I created the structures for my last 2 designs. So hope ok that I used this perfect piece for texture created by Gerry Gregg. Also attending PFCI class this weekend. Not sure if I can tune in, but will of course watch the recording. Thank you for this class!

First Amy I want to congratulate you you on finding such a wide range of textures.
Greatly combined, layered and in connexion with each other. They are interacting to explain each other.
What we where talking about on the video was your base/ structure. What an amazing piece with lovely textures.
But why did you hide it behind your design?
We where talking about 3 different solutions to make it a parr of the final design(to good to hide).
Frame it on both sides and work around it.
Work high and using its vertical line.
Horisontal on top of it.
Remember always to make the base a part of the design in your design!

This is a perfect extraction of container textures into various textural materials used, fresh and dried.
Great word selection to describe the diverse range of textures collected.
In the final design, I would have liked to see the surface texture of the container instead of covering it up almost totally with flowers. I wanted to see the source of extraction to start my visual textural journey.
Placement of design could have been on top of the container as a vertical…
Or floating horizontally above the container
Or surrounding with flowers around the vase
Each one of these options would expose the great texture on the container that inspired you.
