This Week’s Student Assignment #2!

This Week’s Student Assignment is to Create an Arrangement (or) Decoration and think of the environment, by using an alternative reusable technique or alternative (degradable) floral foam. Use one of the two techniques that Per explained in his mentor session: EXTRACTION or BRIDGING.

For Maximal understanding and learning in the review session, the following information/checklist should be considered and is included in this week’s submission forms:

  1. Begin with a ‘Starting Material’ in the case of EXTRACTION and begin with ‘Starting Materials’ in the case of BRIDGING. Be able to identify these elements in your submission

  2. Include a photo in your submission explaining your gradation of materials used (All Materials)

  3. Be able to explain the Dominant Colour in your final design

  4. Be able to explain the Dominance between the following categories:

    • Warm vs. Cold

    • Shiny vs. Matte

    • Dark vs. Light

    • Pure/Clean vs. Dirty/Earthy

    • Strong vs. Weak/Pastel

    • Clear vs. Dusty

  5. And once finished, have a final look at your design and note down if there is anything you would like to change or not.

Also, please note the following details pertaining to this week’s assignment submissions:

  1. A Maximum of 5 Images per Submission (One Design Only)

  2. Please include a Front, Overhead, Detail, and the earlier mentioned Gradation Images in your submission.

  3. Only Submit for (1) Review Session, the one you’d like to attend (Submission Forms further down the page)

  4. Make sure to Submit before the deadlines (6 Hours prior to each Review Session or Max 40 Students in Review Session One)
