This Week’s Student Assignment!

Our First Student Project focuses on creating a design with emphasis on LINE using a mechanic or technique shown by Hitomi or Per in our first week of live sessions.
For Maximal understanding and learning in the review session, the following information/checklist should be considered and is included in this week’s submission forms:
Be able to identify lines in your design that static/passive & dynamic/active, with explanation.
Be able to identify both the most dominant line and most effective soft line in your design.
Be able to distinguish and identify the following aspects of your design in regard to line:
Direction of Lines
Size of Lines
Texture of Lines
Shape of Lines
Light Quality of Lines
Be able to distinguish the Dominance between the following categories in regard to line:
Warm vs. Cold
Shiny vs. Matte
Dark vs. Light
Pure/Clean vs. Dirty/Earthy
Strong vs. Weak/Pastel
Clear vs. Dusty
Also, please note the following details pertaining to this week’s project submissions:
A Maximum of 4 Design Images per Submission PLUS one Image showing/explaining the dominant line in your design (One Design Only)
Only Submit for (1) Student Review Session, the one you’d like to attend (Submission Forms further down the page)
Make sure to Submit before the deadline, (8) Hours prior to each Review Session.
