This Week’s Student Assignment!

Our Second Student Assignment focuses on the colour theory you’ve learned so far and reaching beyond your comfort zone!

Please choose any kind of design, technique, and/or mechanics that Hitomi or Per have shown in Part Two. For maximal understanding and learning in the review session, an checklist will be included in this week’s submission forms:

  1. Be able to distinctly state and identify your ‘Starting Material’ in the case of EXTRACTION and ‘Starting Materials’ in the case of BRIDGING.

  2. Include a photo in your submission that explains your gradation of materials used.

  3. Be able to share the Dominant Colour in your final design

  4. Be able to distinguish the Dominance between the following categories:

    • Warm vs. Cold

    • Shiny vs. Matte

    • Dark vs. Light

    • Pure/Clean vs. Dirty/Earthy

    • Strong vs. Weak/Pastel

    • Clear vs. Dusty

Also, please note the following details pertaining to this week’s assignment submissions:

  1. A Maximum of 4 Design Images per Submission PLUS one Image showing your colour gradation (One Design Only)

  2. Only Submit for (1) Student Review Session, the one you’d like to attend (Submission Forms further down the page)

  3. Make sure to Submit before the deadline, Wednesday April 27th at 10:00PM PDT.
