INSPIRED BY NATURE Lecture October 13th

Join Hitomi & Per as they co-demonstrate in this 3hr dual lecture, discussing how each is inspired by nature to create new structure building mechanics & design techniques.  Students will enjoy in-depth discussion on the topic and how it relates and is applicable to floral design, from day-to-day design work.. to larger installation designs.  Per & Hitomi will also issue the ‘Inspired by Nature’ Student Assignment during this lecture, with Student Review the following weekend.

INSPIRED BY NATURE Mentor Session with Per Benjamin October 14th

Join Per Benjamin in this 90min Lesson as he expands on the topic of ‘Inspired by Nature’ and how his observances applies to floral design.  Students will learn how Per looks to nature to find inspiration for the way he designs, from creating Nature-inspired structures to applying a nature-inspired mindset to the way you flower.

INSPIRED BY NATURE Mentor Session with Hitomi Gilliam October 15th

Join Hitomi Gilliam in this 90min Lesson as she also expands on the topic of ‘Inspired by Nature’ and how her observances applies to floral design.  Students will learn how Hitomi looks to nature to find inspiration for the way she designs, from creating Nature-inspired structures to applying a nature-inspired mindset to the way you flower.

INSPIRED BY NATURE Live Student Review with Per & Hitomi October 20th

Students will have the opportunity to complete the ‘Inspired by Nature’ Student Assignment and in (2) separate Zoom Sessions receive live, one-on-one feedback from both Hitomi & Per.  There will also be an opportunity for students to submit for written feedback if they encounter a scheduling conflict.

INSPIRED BY ART Mentor Session with Hitomi Gilliam October 28th

Join Hitomi Gilliam as we shift to finding inspiration through the vast history and world of ART!  Students will enjoy this 90min lesson as Hitomi dives deep into her knowledge of art and how it influence her own designs, from structure-building to use of the elements & principles of design!

INSPIRED BY ART Mentor Session with Per Benjamin October 29th

Join Per Benjamin in this 90min Lesson as he expands on the topic of ‘Inspired by Art’ and how it has influenced his own floral design.  Students will learn how Per looks to art to find inspiration for techniques & mechanics to his design colour-palette!  Per & Hitomi will also issue the ‘Inspired by Art’ Student Assignment during this Mentor Session, with Student Review occurring on 11/10.

INSPIRED BY ART Live Student Review with Per & Hitomi November 10th

Students will have the opportunity to complete the ‘Inspired by Art’ Student Assignment and in (2) separate Zoom Sessions receive live, one-on-one feedback from both Hitomi & Per.  There will also be an opportunity for students to submit for written feedback if they encounter a scheduling conflict.

INSPIRED BY ART Lecture November 17th

Join Hitomi & Per as they co-demonstrate in another 3hr dual lecture to close out Part One of Floristic Dialog LEVEL UP.  In this lecture, they will elaborate and further discuss how Art influences all aspects of floral design and how you can apply various art techniques to floral design.  Students will enjoy in-depth discussion on the topic and how we can continue to look to outside influences to consistently and constantly level up our design skills!
